My name is Mrs. Hope Rethman. I live in Maria Stein with my husband, Joe, and our four children~ Mitchell, Matthew, Molly, and Marcus. Our family also includes a German Shepard mix named Buttercup.
I enjoy reading, writing children's stories, and spending time outside with my family and friends. I graduated from Bowling Green University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. At the start of my teaching career, I taught third grade for three years at Wapakoneta City Schools. I then took a twelve year leave from teaching so that I could stay home with my four children. During my leave, I kept up my education and earned my masters degree. In 2012, I re-entered the teaching field at Marion Local as a K-4 Intervention Specialist. As much as I loved teaching intervention, I'm very happy to be teaching first grade.
